Scarborough Get Eight Against Denaby.
Scarborough ran riot against a weak Denaby defence at Scarborough on Wednesday. and before half-time scored no fewer than six goals
Five of these came within a space of eight minutes, the opening goal being scored after five minutes by KENNEDY, a local amateur who was making his second trial with the side.
NICHOL, the Scarborough centre-forward, scored four goals, the others coming from AGAR ,(2) and SHARP.
Denaby, despite the one-sidedness of the game, made one or two really lively attacks, and the Scarborough goalkeeper had to dive full length to save a free kicK from Green, and only just got out in time to block a hard shot from Fleetwood.
In the second half Denaby were completely out of the picture. although their defenders put up a plucky show.
The attendance was 1,200 and receipts £42 12s. 3d
