Denaby United Signings

Denaby United’s latest signings are Jack Harston (picture), right back, Scarborough’s captain last season and formerly with Bradford and Barnsley; and W, Wheatley, outside left or right from Mansfield Town.

Denaby open their Midland League season on August 18th with a visit to Grimsby Town and play their first home game on Monday August 20th kick-off 6.15 p.m., against Doncaster Rovers Reserves. On August 25th they have another home game (kick-off 6.15 p.m.) against York City reserves. The reserves will have a 32-match programme in the Sheffield Association League.

Denaby will hold their final practice at Tickhill Square tomorrow (Saturday), kick-off 3.30 p.m.

Teams – Reds: Mayhall, Harston, Williams; Southerton, Lee, McGuinness; Kynoch, Law, A. N. Other, Hall at Watson. Whites (from); King, Finney, Rhodes, Hutton, Oldfield, Piper, Hibberd, Wheatley Bruce, Rowney, Cooling, Short, Beaumont, Lewis and Salt.

The club asks all old age pensioner supporters to make early application for the cheap season ticket facilities.
