Late Goal gives Denaby Points
A last-minute goal you Denaby United a 1-0 victory at South Kirkby.
Kirby held their own against their bigger opponents and on the run of play deserved a point.
Playing with the wind in the first half, Denaby were on top, but their attempts to score were frustrated by the Kirby halfbacks.
In the second half Kirby dominated the play.
The forwards Roberts (outside left) and Miller (centre forward) were dangerous with their shooting, but were denied success by Howes brilliant goalkeeping.
Just before time Denaby broke through and Cookson (centre forward) scored.
