South Kirkby were beaten 4-1 by a faster and cleverer side in their home game with Denaby United.
SMITH opened the scoring for Denaby within five minutes. and FLETCHER equalised ten minutes later. Denaby resumed the attack and SMITH regained the lead with a grand goal. Before the interval SMITH completed his hat-trick.
After the interval Denaby dominated the play except for a brief period in which the Kirkby forwards were well held by an excellent defence.
Denaby increased their lead through BENNETT about midway in the second half. The Denaby forwards were well led by Smith and ably supported by a strong half-back line, never relaxed their efforts and were always dangerous.
