Fine Defensive Play Gets Point for Denaby at Staveley.

Staveley Town and Denaby United drew I—l in a Midland league match at Staveley, before a fair gate, Jaet night. Hamby appeared for Lack at back for Staveley.

Before the game was five minutes old Staveley took the lead through Chapman, who converted a penalty kick for an infringement on Booth. Chapman nearly increased the score, Binney saving in the nick of time.

Following a scrimmage, Denaby equalised through Jenkins.

After the interval Denaby were more dangerous, but no further scoring took place

Rodgers, Clegg, and Taylor gave fine defensive display for the visitors, whose goal was unlucky to escape downfall in the closing stages
