Walter Bennett Goes To Denaby

Yesterday Walter Bennett, the old Sheffield United and Bristol City right-winger, signed for Denaby United.

The news has caused considerable sensation in the footballing fraternity in the district, for it was hardly thought likely that Bennett would sign on for a Midland League club.

His home being in Mexborough probably proved an attraction.

His first appearance will be probably against Sheffield United Reserve  at Bramall Lane on Saturday next.
