Worksop 1 Denaby United 1
Worksop were awarded a foul clause in the first minute, but nothing came of it.
Hawkins tried a long shot, which Scott cleared in brilliant style.Denaby continued to have slightly the better of the exchanges. Just before half-time Laythe (Worksop) got in a beauty, which Hancock managed to save just under the bar, and the interval arrived with the score 1-0 in favour Worksop
On resuming, the ground was very slippery.
Denaby attack, and during a scrimmage Hemmingfield (Worksop) had the misfortune to put through his own goal and equalised for the visitors. This bit of luck put new life into the visitors, who now played up well.
Eyre shot over when well placed, and Hardcastle was brought down nastily. After Woodlands had shot over, the same player got in a pretty oblique shot which travelled across the goal face. At this juncture Lindley and Eyre could not agree, and the first named deliberately struck Eyre in the face, and was ordered off the field.
