Two Penalties.
Denaby Down At Worksop.
Worksop 2, Denaby 0
Denaby put up a good game at Worksop on Saturday. The even first half ended with the defences still supreme.
The rest of the tale hinges on two penalty kick awards. Worksop got the first of them and RICHARDSON scored. Then Denaby got a similar award and Foreman, the Worksop goalkeeper, saved Windle’s shot at full length.
Worksop got on top for a period and a spell of heavy pressure ended in a goal scored by TUFFNELL from a well-placed centre by Spink. Denaby rallied strongly but vainly towards the end and the play was rather vigorous.
Bromage distinguished himself, keeping an excellent goal. Foreman, at the other end, also got through a lot of difficult work.
