With old Worksop players appearing in the team there was plenty of interest in this encounter Worksop.
The home team had much the best the game for some time, and WRIGHT headed the first goal out Heath’s hands. WILLIAMS scored second before the interval when Worksop led 2 to 0.
In the second half, Worksop scored two more goals.

An interesting game was the result of the meeting of these teams at Thurnscoe.
Mexboro’ were leading at the interval by 2 to nil, but afterwards the Main came with a rattle and drew level
