Denaby made their highest score of the season at Tickhill Square yesterday, and defeated Bulcroft after declaring.

Tibbles and Wainwright opened for Denaby and put on 32 before Wainwright was stumped. Robinson, was next in and he and Tibbles hit out merrily, both completing halt centuries. Tibbles was the first to fall at 121 and ,Robinson went without any addition to the score. Robinson hit nine fours and Tibbles six fours and a five. Smith was dismissed’ without scoring but Probert, Clarkson, Jones and Richards all got on top of the bowling. Both Jones and Richards hit a six.

Bullcroft lost two early wickets, but Hardwick and Middleton made a stand for the third wicket. Hardwick, however, was struck by the ball and had to retire, and although Middleton played a valuable innings, the only assistance he received was from Luke, who was eighth man in and scored 27.

Robinson took 4 wickets for 47 runs, and Richards 2 for 9, while for Bullcroft, Shaw, 3 for 33 came out best,
