A Dishonest Lodger.

James Amiable, 26, collier, was indicted for stealing a watch and pair of trousers, the property of Edwin Morgan, at Denaby, on the 26th July.

Mr. Ellison prosecuted. Prisoner pleaded guilty.

Mr. Ellison said the prisoner, under assumed name, went to lodge with Morgan, and one day he absconded with the watch and chain, which he was afterwards found pledging

Prisoner, who had been previously convicted, was sent to gaol for six months with hard labour.
