P.c. Bowden said he was with two other police officers at 11.45 p.m. when they saw the defendants, who were drunk, fighting.

P.s. Huck said the men were “fighting in a heap,” and they had great difficulty in getting them away.

Enoch Rigby said he was standing in his doorway when the others shouted at him that they would shoot him. Next morning they apologised.
