The Doncaster Coalfield.
As intimated in the Independent some months ago, there is rumour that new coal pits are likely to be opened in the neighbourhood of Doncaster era long, in addition to the new mine in connection with the Denaby Main Colliery.
The mineral abounds in the locality, is well known, but the preliminary negotiations are not yet concluded. The statements in contemporary on Saturday were only repetition of what had been published aforetime.
