Drunkenness
James Davis was charged with drunkenness at Swinton on the 24th ult. Police-constable Thornton proved that the defendant was lying helplessly drunk on the highway, and he carried him home to his lodgings. The defendant said his landlady was from home at the time, and he went outside to see where she was. He was fined 5s. and costs.
Michael McHugh was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Denaby on the 24th ult. Police-constable Kendall said on the date named he was on duty in Doncaster Road, Denaby, and saw the defendant drunk. He was fined 5s. and costs.
John Bradley was also fined 5s. and costs for a similar offence at Denaby, on the 24th February.
Richard Danson was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Wath, and was fined 3s. and costs.
