Drunkenness
Thomas Heathcote, Denaby, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on Feb. 3rd.—P.c. Jarvis gave evidence, and defendant pleaded guilty.—Fined and costs or 7 days.
George Smith, miner, Conisborough, was charged with being drink and disorderly at Conisborough on Feb. 11th.— Pc. Trueman proved the case, and defendant admitted the offence. He asked the Bench to be lenient, as he had four children.—Fined 5s. and costs.
A Long Record Spoilt
James Harrison, miner Swinton, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at Conisborough on Feb. 10th.—P.c. Cameron proved the case.—Defendant pleaded guilty and said he was very sorry. He had lived to be 53 years and had never been brought before a court in his life before this. He had a sup too much beer with some friends at Conisborough and that upset him —Fined 5s. and costs.
An Attercliffe Widow.
Hannah Featam, widow, of Attercliffee, was charged with being drunk and disorderly at the M. S. and L. Station at Conisborough on Feb. 11th.—P.c. Trueman stated the case, and it was mentioned that the defendant had apologised to the Superintendent of the Line.—Fined 2s. 6d. and costs.
