“Eddie” Larkin at Denaby Dinner

Eddie Larkin, evergreen star of Hemsworth Wheelers, presented prizes at Denaby Wheelers C.C.annual dinner and dance in the Station Road schools, Conisbrough on Saturday.

Mr L Balmforth presided over a gathering of 90, which was representive of 12 clubs. Joe McDonald(secretary) welcome the visitors, the toast of absent friends was proposed by J Kew, a senior member, and the “Denaby Wheelers” was proposed by Mr F Oldfield (Conisbrough Ivanhoe C.C.)

Chief prizewinners were J McDonnell, J Chetwynd, F Moxon and Miss W Cooper.

These were the clubs represented: Hemsworth Wheelers, Doncaster Wheelers, Mexborough Road Club, Sheffield Phoenix, Kiveton Park C.C., South Elmsall S.C.C., Brodsworth Road and Path C.C., Conisbrough Ivanhoe, Rawmarsh and Parkgate C.C., Dinnington Institute, Hoyland Clarion.
