John Golicker, miner, Conisborough, was charged with a breach of the byelaws by neglecting to send his daughter to school.

Defendant said his daughter had been examined in the fifth standard but they wanted to make out that she had failed. He had written to Mr. Acland stating that he believed she had passed and asking for information. His letter had been acknowledged but no reply had yet been received to it.
