Engagement
The engagement is announced this week of the Rev. S. B. Coley, curate of the Parish Church, and Miss Brenda May Taylor, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Taylor, of Boscombe, near Bournemouth.
Mr. Coley, who resides at the Bank House, Church Street, is the only son of the Rev. S ,E. Coley and Mrs. Coley, of Birmingham and formerly of Eastbourne. Mr. Coley’s father is a Methodist minister.
Mr. Coley, who recently wrote a pamphlet on the history of the Parish Church, has been in the parish since mid-1937.937, He is a graduate of Jesus College, Cambridge, and received his theological training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
He did splendid work as a lay worker in the London Dock area.
