Epworth Hall – Woman’s Bright Hour Anniversary

The anniversary services at Epworth Hall in connection with the Woman’s Bright Hour were held last week end. At the Sunday services the preacher was Pasteur C. Maltas

Special items were given by the choir during the evening service and afterwards members of the church visited Fullerton hospital where Pastor Maltas conducted services in the wards.

The anniversary services were continued on the Monday and in the afternoon a special service was held at which Mr. Thompson (Conisbrough) was a speaker and Mrs Booth presided. Miss E. Smith (Denaby) was a soloist.

Later tea was served and this was followed by an evening rally which was presided over by Captain Finlayson, of the Salvation Army.

Mrs. Griffiths (Conisbrough) was the speaker and duets were given by Mrs Smith and Mrs. Taylor (Conisbrough). Mrs. Malthus made the Roll Call and Mrs. Linley was organist. Thanks to all who had assisted in the arrangements for the weekend were expressed by Mrs. Portrey.
