Evening Classes at Rossington Street

The Evening Institute re-opens next week and enrolment night is tonight (Friday).

Mr. F. Williams, headmaster of Rossington Street Evening Institute informs us that the usual courses have been arranged in commercial and industrial subjects, and in addition a new course this year is one in adult mining. Single subject classes in addition to the ambulance classes for the men and the home nursing for women are in first aid for young people.

The physical training class for boys will include apparatus work boxing and games and if sufficient enthusiasm is shown it is hoped to form a football team.

The women’s keep-fit class will include rhythmic work and dancing.

Three classes have been arranged in needle work and dressmaking.

In addition to the dramatic art class a class in operatic art is to be formed and another new feature will be the operatic choral class in addition to the vocal music class.

It is also hoped to form a class in instrumental music.
