Ex Soldier on Charge of Drunk and Disorderly

Michael Cairns, pit hand, Conisboro who appeared before the Doncaster West Riding Court, yesterday, on a charge of being drunk and disorderly, said he was discharged from the Army in 1917.

He had his armpit blown out and had been attending hospital ever since his discharge.

He had six children and was drawing a pension of £4 2s. 6d. a week.

A fine of 15s. was imposed.
