False Pretences at New Conisborough

M. Duffield, carpenter, New Conisborough was committed to prison for a month, for having obtained a saw and some joiners tools by false pretences from Geo. Bennett, carpenter New Conisborough on August 16th 1905.

Prisoner went to prosecutor’s house and told the servant (Edith Houlton) that her employer requires his plane and hand saw at the works.

She handed him the tools mentioned.

A warrant was issued, and the prisoner was apprehended at Gateshead.
