Family Feud at Conisborough
At Doncaster Borough Court, Charles Wright, Collier, Loversall Street, Conisborough, was charged with stealing a towel belonging to Emily Brown, married, living in the same street, on Friday night.
Prisoner is prosecutrix’s brother-in-law.
On Saturday night prisoner assaulted complainant, while she was out of the house he broke the window, and took a small towel, which was hanging inside the window.
When Police constable Lumb charged prisoner, he replied, “Here’s the – – – – towel.”
The first case prisoner was bound over to come up for judgement when called upon, and in the latter case he was ordered to pay 10 shillings fine, five shillings damage and the costs.
