Fatal Accident at Cadeby

Yesterday a fatal accident occurred at Cadeby Main, whereby a youth named Fred Sanderson, 16 years of age, was killed on the spot.

He was a pony driver and an orphan, residing in William Street, Denaby Main.

Whilst going on the road in the East district, a fall of stone took place, by which he was caught, a large stone being on his head, which was crushed beyond recognition. He was in front of the horse, which managed to get out of the road.

An inquest will be held.

The pit was set down for the day.
