Fatal Fall at Doncaster Workhouse.

An inquest was held at the Doncaster Workhouse, yesterday, on Hiram Hutchinson, aged 78, formerly a miner, of Denaby, who died suddenly the previous morning.

He had been an inmate of the Workhouse since May, 1915, and was subject to epileptic fits, during which he was often very violent.

He fell down the steps outside the day room on March 30th, and fractured his right thigh. He was removed to the Workhouse Infirmary, and congestion of the lungs followed.

A verdict of ” Accidental death ” was returned.
