Fatality at Denaby Main Colliery.

Yesterday afternoon, at the Main Colliery, a fatal accident occurred. Owing to a fall of roof a well-known miner, named Edward Tennant, was knocked down and killed, and a youth, named James Henry Wingfield sustained a broken thigh.

Mr. Tennant had been for years employed at the colliery and was held in high esteem. He was a prominent member of the Primitive Methodist at Denaby Main, and was a class leader.

On the previous night he attended the week night service, and had a conversation with the new superintendent of circuit, the Rev. J. Shephard.
