Fate of a Ferryboat
Householders in Old Denaby think that a derelict ferryboat, which once carried them across the River Don is now a nuisance. The boat, which has been replaced by a newer one, drifted on to the wash in the river during recent high floods.
People in Old Denaby think it may be causing some of the flooding which recently has been heavier than usual.
The clerk of the Parish Council has therefore been instructed to write to Ouse Catchment Board asking them to have the boat removed.
