“Father” of Bolton U.C. Victim of Typhoid.

Mr. Henry Cutts, the senior member of the Bolton-on-Dearne Urban Council, is one of the latest victims of the typhoid epidemic which is raging in that district and he has died at the Conisborough Isolation Hospital.

He was 65 years of age, and a native of the village. He became a member of the Urban Council 18 years ago, and has served continuously since.

He has also been for 20 years a checkweighman at the Wath Main Colliery, and a popular local leader of the miners.

His family are extensively affected by the epidemic. Mr. Cutts had lost a son-in-law, and two daughters and four grandchildren are now in the grip of the disease.
