Five Goals Lead by Half Time

Denaby failed to score in their away game with Bradford City reserves and City secured a five goal lead by half-time.

Robertson, their inside right,scored four goals in the first half-hour. The first was easily best when he dribbled off the length of the field, beating man after man and finishing with a shot which gave Green, the Denaby goalkeeper nor chance.

The second goal was created by Brown, who dropped the ball into the goalmouth for Robertson to Is home.

The third and fourth were scored by  Robinson scored from close range. Quayle and Patrick missed easy chances, but Bradford gave United no rest, and just before the interval Scrimshaw scored a penalty goal.

City added two goals after the interval
