Fighting At Conisbrough

Joseph Watkin and William Davies, miners, were summoned for having obstructed the highway at Conisbrough by fighting on the 4th inst.

Police-constable Richardson said that on the data named the defendants were fighting on the Low road.

There an immense crowd around and the defendants were rolling over each other in the road, and covered with mud.

Sergeant Brown corroborated.

Davis, who appeared, was fined 2s. 6d. and the costs, and Watkin, who did not appear, 5s. and the costs.
