Peter Peplow and John Till, miners, Denaby, were summoned for having committed a breach of the peace by fighting at Denaby, on July 27.

Police constable Lancaster said that at 11:15 p.m. he found the defendants fighting on the ground in Adwick Street, was a crowd of women and children around them.

Till was asked three times his name, and he refused.
