Fighting outside Public House – Prison for Denaby Man

PRISON FOR DENABY MAN
FIGHTING OUTSIDE PUBLIC HOUSE

A 20 year old Irish man James Conroy who was gaoled for one month at Doncaster West Riding Magistrates Court on Tuesday for being drunk and disorderly admitted to four convictions of similar offences; three conviction for assault causing bodily harm and one for fighting.

Conroy of Balby street Denaby was said by PC Birley to have been in the middle of a number of men fighting outside a public house in Denaby. He told Conroy to be quiet but he continued shouting.

“Owing to his conduct” said Pc Birley “the crowd moved into the middle of the road” it took three policemen to get him to the police office and they were followed by a huge crowd.
