Five Years for Forger

Charged in the name of Daniel Stuart Gebbie with obtaining money from the Post Office Savings Bank by forgery, Raymond Cookson (32), March Street, Conisborough, near Doncaster, was at Manchester Assizes yesterday stated to have obtained a total of £575 in six months.

Sending him to penal servitude for five years, Mr. Justice Cassels described him as  “a skilled and cunning person.”
