Fog Smash – Milk Flowed

MiIk flowed along Sheffield Road on Wednesday morning, when a lorry owned by Cartledge’s Stores, Rotherham, ran into a stationary milk float owned by Mr. T. E. Swales. It was foggy at the time and along came another lorry owned by Messrs. Rowntrees, and this also was involved in a collision with the other lorry, but happily these two were only slightly damaged, and there were no personal injuries.

The float was much damaged and the shafts broke through the impact. This caused the horse to bolt, end it was stopped near to the cemetery, where is was found to have sustained some scratches.

Mr. Swales, who was filling milk cans at the time, jumped clear, and got off with slight bruise.
