Foolish Conduct
Owing to previous good behaviour the Doncaster magistrates on Tuesday gave Kenneth Goodinson (18), 12, Washington Street, Conisborough (charged with having stolen a fountain pen, valued 10s. 6d) another chance.
Inspector Redfern said that on January 14th Goodinson went into the shop of Herbert Haller, Church Street, Conisborough, when he was left alone for a minute or so.
After Goodinson had left the shop Haller noticed that a fountain pen was missing from a number on a card. He made inquiries, reported the theft, and subsequently Goodinson handed back the pen saying he did not know why he took it.
Goodinson was bound over and ordered to pay costs.
