Foot Racing At Denaby.

George Wilkinson and George Ellis, miners, were each fined 2s. 6d. and costs for having obstructed the highway at Denaby by running on it, on the 28th ult.

Police constable Midgley stated that the defendants were matched to run from the Reresby Arms, Denaby, to the railway station at Conisborough.

When the race came off, between 300 and 400 persons had assembled.
