Footpath Needed
The nasty weather we have had has taken due effect on the roads. With the exception of the time since the frost has set in, there has been a very fair layer of mud on them, more particularly I speak of the road between Denaby and Conisbrough.
There’s a tremendous amount of traffic along this road, and consequently the mode picks up a great deal, making it very difficult for foot passengers to walk. So far this season it has not been quite so bad as on former occasions, but who knows what it may be before spring approaches?
Workmen are constantly doing something at this road, and in wet weather it is amusing to notice the places where they put the mode scraped up. Anyplace that has been selected by pedestrians and a suitable footpath receives a fair share of this stuff, and anyone England of this usage may find themselves up to the ankles in rodent scrapings.
Not long ago the inhabitants of Conisbrough were agitated by a proposal to construct a footpath along this road. Resolutions were, I believe, past approving of the same. Have they been presented in the proper quarter, and if so, what has been there fate?
There is plenty of room all the way on from the Station Inn, Conisbrough to Denaby Main to make a stunning good pass, and the expense would not be great, for the material to construct it is to be found close at hand.
