Forbidden Cycling At Conisboro’.

At Doncaster on Tuesday Leonard Roberts, pithand, Edlington, and Thomas Ross, pithand, Conisboro’ were fined for riding bicycles in the Ivanhoe recreation ground, Conisboro’.

Mr. Spencer Baker, prosecuting for the Conisboro’ U.D.C., said cycling in these parks was forbidden by by-law. They had had a number of these oases before the court recently and they were very anxious to put a stop to the practice.

P.c. Gregory said the offences both took place on Dec 14th.

Roberts said it was the first time he had  been in that part of the country, and there were no notices.

Mr. Baker: There are notices.

The Chairman (Mr. G. B. Shiffner): There might be a thousand notices, but they will take no notice of them.

Defendants were fined 15s. each.
