Former Conisbrough Singer Is Making Successful Comeback

Staging a comeback in show business is former Conisbrough Singer, Ronnie Birch, who has just appeared with Ted Ray in his “spice of life” show and secured an engagement in a London pantomime for this Christmas.

Ronnie, whose stage name is Ronnie Morris, formerly lived at The Crescent, Conanby, Conisbrough, but is now residing at Cross Mead, Watford, Herts.

He went to Watford five years ago in tragic circumstances. After making singing appearances in a number of West End shows, including “High Button Shoes,” “Latin Quarter” and “Bet your Life,” he was in a car crash which left him with a crushed hip and he went to the Garston Rehabilitation centre Watford.

Now, ex-Royal Marine commando, Ronnie is trying to make up some of that lost time. He made a television appearance five months ago in the women’s programme, “Your own Time,” and as a result he was invited to sing on the Ted Ray’s, “Spice of life.”

Ronnie spent a day last month in the recording studio and the show went on the air a week later.
