Roman Terrace Golden Wedding
Celebrating their Golden Wedding on February 13th will be two former Roman Terrace residents, Mr. George William Harvey and Mrs. Ann Harvey. 31, Shaun Street. Bolton Woods, near Bradford.
They were married at Kilnhurst Parish Church in 1899, and lived in the Roman Terrace district of Mexborough for 40 years.
Mr. Harvey worked in various collieries in the area, the last 20 years at Denaby Main Colliery. Four years ago he had an accident to his foot, and decided to leave the mines, and went to Bolton Woods where he is employed by a woolcombing company.
There will be a family party in the Liberal Club, Bolton Woods, on February 12th.
