Fortunate Escapes in Conisborough Motor Accident.
A light lorry belonging to a York firm, was proceeding up New Hill, Conisborough, yesterday, when, in changing, the gears failed to act properly, and the brakes failing, the car ran backwards.
It finished up on its aide, after knocking down a lamp-post, a gate, and a portion of wall.
The driver sustained slight injuries, whilst the passenger escaped unhurt.
