From Denaby to the Wolves.
Denaby United yesterday transferred their promising centre-half-back, Albert Hill, to Wolverhampton Wanderers. The fee is said to substantial.
The player was accompanied to Wolverhampton yesterday Mr. W. Astbury, financial secretary, and Mr. J. Hancock, general secretary, the two officials who have completed many transfers for the financial benefit of the colliery club.
Hill is 22 years of age, 5ft. 11in. in height, and weighs 13st. With these fine physical proportions has considerable skill, and is particularly clever with his head. His displays for Denaby recently have attracted attention of big clubs, and Major Buckley has secured promising forward.
Hill is a Conisborough product and joined Denaby the beginning the present season, after previous experience with Methley, Mexborough Athletic Reserves and Conisborough junior clubs. Last season he had trials with Huddersfield Town.
Mr. Astbury and Mr. Hancock in their official capacity have carried through about a score of transfers with Denabv players.
