For the Easter celebrations the men’s ward patients had a collection and provided the patients of the children’s ward with a “filled Easter egg”, which was much appreciated by the children.

They also received for the children’s ward the gift of a large chocolate Easter egg from Mr F. S. Bell of Conisbrough.

On Easter Sunday members of the parish council attended after Evensong when the vicar the Rev A. V. Roebuck, conducted a services in both wards and Easter hymns were sung. The lesson were read by Messrs. G. Lambert and W. Wilson and the accompanist was the lay reader.
