Furious Fat Beast

On Tuesday afternoon a number of fat beasts coming from Doncaster belonging to the butchers of Conisborough were being driven through the town, up New Hill, when one of them became very furious, making a desperate attempt to jump through the large plate glass window of Mr. Joseph Thompson, shoemaker, who, along with his man at once attempted to frighten the animal to prevent themselves being injured.

Mr. W. Merin, butcher, also worked hard to secure the beast, thereby avoiding serious disaster.
