Over 200 Scouts and Cubs competed in the annual swimming gala of the Don and Dearne Association at Denaby baths on Saturday.

The Trevor Andrews Cup for the winning Troop was presented to the 8th (Wath Grammar School) troop by the rev. Frank Smedley, district commissioner.

The Bailey Cup, for the winning cub pack, was presented to the 12th (Wath St James’s) pack. Teams from 15 troops and 13 packs took part.

The 8th (Wath Grammar School) team gained 62 points, the 12th (Wath St James’s) 34, and the 6th (Thurnscoe) 21.
