Germany Bound

Boarding a plane at Gatwick Airport today (Friday) on her way to join her husband stationed with the R.A.F. in Germany, is 20-years-old Mrs. Joan Adams, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Teasdale, of 10, The Crescent, Conanby.

Her husband is Senior Aircraftman William Adams (26), of Glasgow, formerly stationed at R.A.F. Finningley. The couple were married at Conisbrough Parish Church in July this year, but in September Mr. Adams left for Geilenkirchen, six miles from the Dutch-German border.

Joan has been a lifelong member of Conisbrough Baptist Church and for about four years has been a Sunday School teacher there. One Sunday she was presented with a Daily Bible Reading book on behalf of the pupils and other teachers.

She has also received a gold chain bracelet from colleagues at the Doncaster Infirmary Laboratories, where she was employed as a junior technician.
