Gift of £5,000 by The Denaby Colliery Company.
Last night a gathering about 500 men, who are or have served, with the Forces, formed a branch of the Comrades the Great War Movement at Denaby Main.
It was announced that the Denaby Collieries (Limited) have subscribed £5,000 to the movement, and Mr. W. H. Chambers, managing director of the company, who presided, said the company would quite willing to provide a social and recreation club for the Denaby branch the movement.
Mr. E. W. Pope, Chairman of the company, was present.
