Good Friday Expectations

Good Friday Expectations

It is expected that, on Good Friday, there will be a large concourse of folk than ever before. Why this should be prophesied as I cannot say. I should have thought the new Cadeby colliery sinking has kept many away.

However, preparations have been made for the reception of the thousands of visitors. The usual applications have been made by the proprietors of shooting galleries, swings, shows, and stalls for the use of ground on that day, and the Primitive Methodists of Mexborough have made arrangements to supply about 800 persons with an excellent tea; a large marquee to be erected for the convenience.
