Grave Charge against a Labourer.

Ben Saxton, a labourer, residing at Conisborough, was in custody on a charge of having criminally assaulted a girl named Sofia Stocks, aged 11 years, at Conisborough.

The offence was committed on Mr Park’s farm.

When arrested the prisoner acknowledged having misbehaved. Only formal evidence was given and is unfit for publication.

Prisoner was remanded for a week.
