Headmistress leaving School

Miss Cowlishaw, headmistress of the Denaby Main schools (infants department), was recently the recipient of a beautiful ladies dressing case, the gift of the assistant teachers under her charge. I understand Miss Cowlinshaw has left the school with the intention of travelling – probably abroad and all the teachers expressed deep regret at her removal, as she had been uniformly kind and encouraging to them.

During Miss Cowlinshaws term of office the children have obtained excellent results, and whilst it would be unfair to the other teachers to give her all the credit for this, yet by her constant devotion to the work and words of cheer given to her assistant, this desirable result has been brought about.

Miss Cowlishaw was highly delighted with this token of affection and esteem from her colleagues.
